Finished A Project!

my 2016 crochet project

I love to crochet and knit in the winter.  They seem to go hand in hand.   I take in the chilly evenings with something over my lap, watching a movie and just work away at a simple style…  mostly double crochet.  It’s really all I know how to do well in crochet.  I am not a fancy crafter in the art of yarn!  I love it, I raise it, I spin and create it, but when it comes to using it, I am just a pretty basic gal!  I think I crochet to sort of meditate.  Simplify my life and just enjoy my hands and fingers working without my brain having to do much of the control work.  It’s relaxing and enjoyable for me.

I found this neat yarn on clearance at Michaels’ craft store and I got all they had.  6 skeins I believe.  Maybe 5…  can’t remember now.  So I just made myself a little lap throw.  Love the colors… purples, blues and greens…  lovely.  And it’s a nice thick yarn so it worked up nice and fast.  The kitties and I are having a little debate over lap throw for me or kittie blankie for them.  I am winning, but only barely.  There are more of them so I have to be very dilligent to keep it all for myself!

Hope you are enjoying a little contented winter project these days…
