My Crazy Week

I know, I haven’t had a couple new posts for a few days and I apologize…

I was overwhelmed last week!

Jessy started back to college and that was wraught with all sorts of little issues and logistics and all this back and forth crazy stuff! Books and schedules, and mistakes (they still think she is out of state) financial aid issues and just plain chaos!

And on top of it, Maggie decided that she wanted to try and go to the new Ohio Virtual Academy, which is an online charter school that she can still be at home with, but comes with a little more school involvement and all that. Well, that also comes with a lot of paperwork and enrollment and all sorts of crazy issues with all of that.

And it was the first week back for the Glass City Opry after being off for over 6 weeks! So I had a TON of little to-do list things to get ready for Friday’s concert… which was a total blast and I’ll write more real soon…. Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper were our guests and wow! What a show!!!! I’m still floating from that one.

And of course, to get in the mood, I had to go out Thursday night and jam, jam, jam, jam….. I did get one little parting video of the jam… we had already been told to GO HOME but of course, we had to have ONE LAST SONG…..

And of course, we did some building…. Tim got the windowbox done and up on the Moby… looks great! Even with a kitty in it!

And I had to get a little more bluegrass into my life, so Saturday night I went to Vern’s barn jam and picked there for most of the evening…. I didn’t do any video of that adventure because I was busy playing but I do have a video of an experience there last year, just so you can sort of see what it’s like…

So, I spent the day trying to get my house back in order, take care of orders, and just get myself back on track after such a busy busy week at the Moby! Ready to start the week off back hopefully with a little calmer schedule and some routine in our new schedule!

Maybe….

Ramen Noodle Ala Carte!

dsc05255

I don’t know about you fellas… but around here, we love Ramen noodles.

Of course, just plain are okay, but we like to dress them up a little bit. We toss in a little freezer chicken (cut up chunks of chicken that we flash freeze and stash in a bag for easy portions for any number of good dishes… including dressed up Ramen noodles!) or maybe a few garden goodies like chopped onion and carrot or green beans! A little garlic is good, or how about little shrimp or even some chives and such. Anything that you like in soup, you can boil in with your noodles. Sometimes we have it for dinner! The noodles are cheap and store for a long time and with a little additional flair they can be pretty darn good. My favorite is chicken, onions, carrots chopped real fine and a dash of garlic. Yum.

Here are some fun Ramen Noodle websites I found!
