We have been working on limited our own waste, and I thought we were doing good by getting down to two trashbags full a week, but now I feel slightly ashamed at our 100+ bags of trash a year! Time to start cutting back… new goal? ONE bag a week!

One of my Meyer Lemons looks like it’s going to bloom! It has two little round nubby things growing out of a little notch in the growth!!! I can’t believe it. I really thought they were pretty dormant, as I hadn’t seen any new leaf growth. Mind you, they’ve been doing nicely, perky leave and all that, but just hadn’t done much since I brought them in from outside.
So I examined the other closely and WOW! It has little leaves growing out too! But none looked like the one above, clearly a different sort of growth.
Everyone talks about how fragrant the Meyers are when they bloom and I just can’t wait!!!! Probably another week or so. I’m going to be keep a close close watch on this little fella. Oh boy! I’m gonna be a tree Grandma!!!!
