Rain, Please Go Away…

Maggie shot these photos today around 6 PM. We had another day of rain and storms and flash flood warnings and tornado watches. I really would like this is all to go away for a while. Everything in our yard is underwater for the most part. We are growing mold between our toes it feels! The dogs are not even interested in going outside. And it’s COLD again. 50’s again. Is this Ohio? Almost June? Will I ever get a chance to grow a garden? Will I be able to mow before the grass is 3 feet tall? Haha… these and more questions will be coming…

Rain, Please Go Away… — 1 Comment

  1. La Nina is supposed to be ending this month. We really hope so. La Nina makes us cold and wet. It’s been soggy even for Portland, Oregon this year, with below average temps and above average rainfall. We’re supposed to be averaging a high of 67° with 2.1″ of rain for May. We’ve been averaging 64%deg; with 2.62″ of rain for the month and it’s not over yet. We’ve only had seven days where the temps were above the average. I don’t remember a year when we have had so much hail. The same La Nina is affecting Ohio as well (via the jet stream). The long range prediction charts show the pattern for June extends from Oregon to just west of the Ohio border.

We’re hoping the forecast for below average rain and above average temps for June through October for us is correct. We need the nice weather for our food cart business. People don’t want to stand out in the rain and cold for street food, even here where we have webbed feet.
