  1. Hey Sherri,

Don’t know if you remember me but I am Amy’s Mom, Amy Chekal. She sent me the link to your site here. It’s really great. We have a lot in common, I see. We have several sepearte raised beds veggie garden too and are inunadated with “maters.” We tried corn several times but after the first time, they were a bust too. Anyway, we use compost in ours as well and have a compost bin. We grow, besides several kinds of tomatoes, green peppers, green beans, sugar snap peas, cukes, zucchini, radishes, blackberries, raspberries. We grown Salsa tomatoes that I use in our homemade salsa. Nice a meaty. Also roma’s, grape tomatoes – this year one called Napa grape which is larger, plus Big Mama’s, Big Boy, Beefsteak and a couple others. So we can a lot! Made kosher dills, zucchini relish, garden relish, corn relish and tons of other stuff! Your website is great! I’ve bookmarked it and will enjoy reading it! BTW, have you ever read “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver? Bet you’d love it if you haven’t!
