Cookie Dough Reserves

Just a little cool tip for the summer time…

If making cookies and heating up the house for hours is not something you want to do… try this. Mix up 3 big batches of cookie dough… you can even use the same bowl and save on washing up! Then take and quarter the batches and roll into a thick snake about 2 inches in diameter. We made ours about 10 inches long. Wrap in wax paper or butcher paper and pop in the freezer. We ended up with 14 logs!

Then when you have a hankering for cookies, just cut up slices about a half inch thick or so, pop on a cookie pan and bake according to your recipe. If you have a toaster oven, you can use that, or use your big oven, but just for one pan full… 15 minutes max!

Everyone gets a taste of fresh warm cookies and you don’t have to make a big mess 3 times or heat up the oven for a whole batch! YUM!
