Our first girl lambs!!!

Well, we were waiting and waiting and hoping for some girl babies to get our ratio in check and Iris helped!   And of course, she had to go and throw off our whole “babies are always born in the morning” thing!   She had her babies around 11 PM!!!   I was doing the last bed check and found her with these two little darlings, all cleaned off and taking their first wobbly steps!

I checked them over and was so happy!  Twin girls!!!   Yah!!!   They are named Ginger and Rosemary!    Ginger is the one with white speckles on her little head, Rosemary is the smaller, solid color baby.

Of course, Iris had her little princesses all clean and safely tucked in the back of the sheep barn.   Safe and sound.   They are so precious!   Can’t believe we are almost done with lambing…  two more mommas to go!

It was getting late and time for bed and I didn’t want to bother them too much with the flash.  Just a couple quick shots to document the occasion!   So happy for Iris and another successful birth.   She is now a mom, a grandma and a great grandma at the same time!!!   That is certainly impressive, don’t you think?  I can’t even try and figure out what is the connections.   I mean, her babies were born great aunts!!!   Pretty amazing, eh?  And aunts!  Ah, sheep!!!
