Planting garlic

Garlic is one of the weirdest plants I’ve ever seen growing.

It looks like something from another planet… I love that!

We finally got ours in the ground… had 3 huge elephant garlic cloves to plant and then about 30 or so regular garlic… we had a nice patch left in the raised beds… about 6 foot by 2 or so… and Jessy planted it all for me! She’s totally into the garden and all, especially now that her cauliflowers are like the top doing plants in the farm… (g)

Garlic is cool because if you leave it alone, it will grow crazy and return each year. Just go out to the garden and yank up one when you need it. Sweet. There ain’t nothing better than grilling your own potatoes and a big helping of your own chives and homemade butter and of course lots of garlic from your own patch… it’s absolutely heaven.

Can’t wait.
