A place for everything…

It’s just a little thing, but I just love seeing Cody’s harness and all hanging in the mud room.  It’s cool looking.  I put it up there this weekend before the party.  I had a couple sturdy hooks so I just screwed them into the wall, so that I can hang the harness out some, so it will dry and be easy to just lift off the hooks and get ready for the pony.  And I like how the reins can hang and not be all tangled up.

It’s a little thing, but I find that when you take the time to make “places” for things that make sense, they tend to stay where they need to be and not like laying over the table in the screen porch, or on the fence or something.  Ah, not that I’ve done that.  Ah, nope. not me.

Plus, I just love going out there and seeing it hanging there, reminding me that I have a PONY!!!  hahaha…. HOW COOL IS THAT?  I can’t believe that I finally have an equine in my life.  Who cares if he’s only 36 inches tall… he’s plenty of horse for me!  I just love his big gentle eyes and his happy whinny when I call him, and how he just likes to snuffle me and breathe on me that wonderful horse breath.  He’s such a sweetie, I just love that pony.

Does it show?

  1. I think I do understand that feeling. It’s such a personal thing, those little touches that speak so intimately to our hearts.
It’s not so much that they’re ‘pretty’ necessarily, but they are associated with someone or some thing we especially love. Or something we longed for that we finally got. That’s what gives them beauty to our soul. (:

  2. Here! Here!….nicely put, Stef!

Yuppers- it speaks to your heart :)
