A big DUH moment…

I make our own cleaners around the house, as least our spray cleaner.  It’s easy.  I use one part white vinegar and one part water and add a few drops of Dr. Bronners castile soap.  It’s great and works good.

But I saw this and had this HUGE DUH moment….  This is orange peel in white vinegar!!!   You let it soak a few weeks and then remove the peel and you have lovely scented vinegar for your cleaning!

All I could think of it soaking fresh lavender flowers in the stuff too!!!!

Yum…..

  1. I dio this with lemon peels too, after I’ve made lemonade…works lilke a charm. I hadn’t thought about using Dr Bonners soap in it–what a good idea! I always have the peppermint castille in the shower for bathing–love it!!
