Don’t look up…

Steve came out to the farm to play electrician for us! Yeah! We love that!

He and Maggie tore out the nasty ceiling in the dining room and took out the office flourescent fixture and installed our lovely dining room table light that we’ve moved around now to like 3 homes. Hey, if it works, why mess with something?

Doesn’t the room look lovely? It’s getting there… it will be our first totally finished room I think. Not counting my little room. Which, ah is pretty much done, but hey, anyway… it will be our first PUBLIC room to be finished! Yeah!

Just don’t look up…

Well, what can I say? We have to wait for the ceiling tile acqusistion to move up the priority list for purchase. It will probably be more of a fall or winter project. Outside and livestock stuff is taking priority at the moment. But hey, who looks up? We still have to finish the trim on the floor, patch a bit of the back of the vinyl flooring, finish the step up, paint the ceiling frame, add door trim and probably a bit of molding around the top and ah, get a few more chairs for the table! Haha… hardly nothing at all!

After they were done with that, they installed a new kitchen light fixture… looks beautiful and then they went down into the basement to work on the power panel and get us power out in the barn! Yahooooooo!!!!

Pretty quick they had it figure out and installed a new breaker out there and now the sheep are very happy because they finally got to put up their party lights around the sheep shack.

After all, sheep gotta have party lights, you know.

It’s a pretty well known fact.

Haha… Maggie spent about 4 hours hanging up Christmas lights she found in a bucket in the garage. It’s actually very festive. She draped them over the far back fence of the middle yard, very carefully and beautifully. And around the sheep shack. It’s kinda neat to look back there and see them lighting up our rather dark back back yards! We don’t leave them all the time at all, but now and then, she’s been plugging them in for a few hours and it’s really pretty keen. Gonna get a little timer so they come on for awhile and go off after a bit. You just gotta have a little fun and joy in your day and I smile every time I see the lights in the darkness, so festive!!!

I just hope the sheep appreciate it.

    • Yeah, I luvs them too!

I keep telling myself… it took 10 years to mess the place up. It’s gonna take at least 10 months to get it back in order. Right? So I should relax a bit? Enjoy!!!

      I’ll try….

  2. The house is looking great. Trust me when I say I know you want it all done immediately, but even when it seems like it’s taking forever, you’ll look back and be awed at what all you’ve done already. I bet people driving by love the sheep party lights, too!

  3. I bought my moby 5 years ago and it’s still messed up LOL Look what you’ve done in just a few months!!! It’s great!! :) Your sheep sound like real party animals.
