Oh my gosh… pets that feed YOU!! Now there is a neat thing, eh? After a bazillion years of pets that take, take, and take… finally a pet that doesn’t want much and FEEDS US! Oh my gosh!

Hahaha…. now just so all the dog and cat people don’t go nuts about love and companionship… hahah… yeah, trust me, I’m kidding. I do have three dogs and now four cats, 2 ferrets, 2 gerbils and a very grumpy little guinea pig boy. We love our pets.

But these chickens… oh my gosh! I spent about two hours out there hanging with the flock and they are just so funny and interesting to watch! They laid two eggs for us again, and the breakfast was so wonderful and good, oh my gosh. Funny thing, we move to the country and can’t find anyone selling eggs! We’ve had three weeks of yucky store eggs and even the kids are like, can’t we go back and get Fran eggs!!! Haha… I hope to never have to buy another carton of those foul foul things. Fresh eggs are just so amazing.

Well, the girls did well did just fine and when I went out to open the big barn door they were just barely getting around and half the ladies were on their roosts still snoozing. Opened up the door to let the sunlight in and fed them a little scratch grain and they pretty much came over to get it from me. A few of the ladies are hesitant, but I figger that will change when I take out a little mac and cheese left from dinner last night! haha… I took them a bit of potato chip bag crumbles and they thought that was awesome. I went and hand cut a big armfull of long grass and they loved that. Oh my gosh… they are so cool.

And Bucka Roo finally CROWED!!! 8 times in a row! REAL crowing! He didn’t do it this morning, or at least, I didn’t hear him. But it was so cool that he finally started and did some real honest to gosh crowing! I thought maybe he was broken!

Well got a bunch of things planned for today before it starts raining this afternoon. Kids are just getting up and we’re going to get busy! Got to get a loaf of bread into the maker too! And corned beef in the crock pot for din din!
