Trucks are for sissys…

“Never underestimate the ability of women to move furniture.”

That is a statement I declared many years ago when I was expecting Jessy and was about 8 months along and bored to tears in our little cramped San Diego apartment and full-on with the nesting instinct and I managed to move all our furniture around when Steve was at the Navy base during the day.

I never hurt myself, I just used leverage and persistance and of course, the odd passer by or friend.

But now I think I must ammended my quote to…

“Never underestimate the ability of a woman to OVER LOAD a car with free stuff found on Craigs’s List…”

HAHAHAHA…..

Just one more sleep until the livestock auction.  I promise a full report and pictures at the end of the day.  I already have my hens named.  I Am READY.

These are not my chickens.  Please excuse this gratuitous random picture of a hen and roo…  I shall be dreaming about chickens all night long… IF I CAN SLEEP…  And shoot, wouldn’t you know, they scheduled the end of the world for tomorrow!  Dang nabit.  I hope it’s like in the afternoon, so that folks in the west coast don’t get jipped outta part of the last Saturday of their lives as they knew it.  Then at least I can get my hens for a few hours before all heck breaks loose.

And just in case they are wrong about that end of the world thing, which I am pretty much hoping is the case, since we JUST got our dream farm and I spent all evening unloading the car and such…  see you tomorrow!!!!

  1. Yes, but what WERE the goodies you found on Craig’s List? Looks like some kind of planking and posts?

Anyway, glad you’ve got a Craig’s List available. Not so much where I live.
