This was one good bluegrass weekend… we had two good gigs with the band.
First off was our Glass City Opry May Day Bluegrass Celebration that we hosted at the Opry. It was our first Friday night show and we were a little worried, but it came off without a hitch. All had a good time and the bands all made a little money for their efforts. Three bands played… North End String Band, Hand Hewn String Band and Deepwater Bluegrass, our band.
I believe that was one of our finest outings yet… we just had a hoot of a good time… You can click and hear one of our better songs… it was so much fun…

And then, on Saturday night we played at the Flat Rock Eagles in Michigan… not nearly the same crowd size… Friday was 200+ and Eagles was ah, maybe 20? But that’s okay, we had a good time and enjoyed those 20 very dedicated fans! Thanks to Jim for taking a shot of us picking… I forgot to bring my camera!
We have like 6 shows this month…. I MIGHT actually be able to pay my lot rent by playing the banjo! HOW COOL IS THAT??? HAHAHA….
