Midnight Storm… Rough Mix #1

Guess what we did last night?

We started to record our very FIRST REAL GROWNUP CD!!!!!!!!

OHMYGOSH!!!!

(I could hardly sleep last night… it was so much fun. I love recording. It’s super slow and all that but it’s so much fun and so cool to hear all the parts come together and all that… )

Rob is our audio technician and he has most of the equipment and the band has some of the mics and all, and we got it all together and pushed a lot of buttons and tweaked a lot of knobs and dials and such and mostly we just watched Rob and did what he told us to do and where to do it and all that.

He sent me a unmixed, straight outta the can version and well, he’ll probably smack me in the arm because he has to tweak it and mix it and adjust volumes and all that techy stuff, but I just luvs it so much already, that I had to share it with you all. I’m like that. Hard to contain any good secret, especially a good bluegrass secret! Forget about it!

Okay. Here is Deepwater Bluegrass with cut 1 of our first grownup girl and boys CD… Midnight Storm, written by the Stanley Brothers and bluesed up by us!!!

  1. I know it’s early yet, and I’m sure you will post about this when you are done but I’d love to get a copy. My sister really enjoys bluegrass and I’d love to give her a copy of the cd. I may listen to it and want one for myself, not sure what my feelings on bluegrass are, though I enjoy country so I’m sure I’ll enjoy bluegrass as well.
