Sneaking in a little Bluegrass

DSC06773

It hasn’t been ALLLL work and no play…. I snuck a little bluegrass into my crazy schedule. Last Friday… not this Friday yesterday, but the Friday before… (haha) my buddy Jeff and I crossed the border into Michigan and made a surprise visit to the Coonhunters as guests! Yeah! Hard to believe, folks were surprised to see us. We went so we could watch our fellow bandmates Tim and Rob play with their family band, the North End String Band.

It was a super fun evening, being on the other side of the pick, so to speak. We got to listen to some great picking and singing, heckle the band some, visit with everyone without having to work so hard! The weather was not great, predicting icy rain so we couldn’t stay the whole night, but it was sure fun to get away for a few hours and have a nice evening of bluegrass music out!
