Spring Bulbs….

DSC06271

Last year, we planted 400 bulbs around the Moby.

And the spring time was glorious!!! About 75% of them came up good and strong.

I plan each year to add another batch of spring bulbs in the fall so that each spring, we will be awakened to the growing season by just an amazing delight of spring flowers!

This year I got a big bag of daffodil…. and a bunch of beautiful bright red tulips. Last year, we had a LOT of yellow flowers… almost too many! Almost all my tulips were yellow too! Now, I have nothing against yellow flowers, because I love the daffys, but it will nice to have a little contrasting colors going on! Don’t you know.

And I got some beautiful dark purple tulips too. They were a little more moola, so I only got 15 bulbs, but it’s a nice start. I’ve been trying to think where to plant these special ones…

And a bunch of little purple and blue muscari grape hyacinths… I love those! We’ll be out planting these within a little bit….

All total about 125 bulbs… not tooo shabby!
