Last Corn Harvest

Well, we didn’t get a whole lot of corn, but then in the end, we only had about 40 plants mature. Still, the corn that we got, although small, was so good. Super sweet and fresh in the pot. Next year, I will definately plant more and earilier in the season and more spread out… I’ve got some learning to do about getting great sweet corn in a garden setting for sure.

Maggie thinks we’re a small produce farm… as in SMALL produce! hahaha…. she’s right. A lot of our stuff has been a little stunted. I think there are a variety of reasons… primarily soil condition and also sunlight.

Jessy found one very unsual ear…. actually it was a twin ear of corn! One was not very developed though… Weird.

Pretty weird…. well, we got enough for everyone to have some more… We’ve done this about 3 times. Not too bad.

And we also got some cool shocks of cornstalks to decorate the from door area with. I think they are pretty cool looking. And to think some people have to buy these things! We grew them ourselves!
