Just catching up with life…  Here’s a little photo album from our Thanksgiving!   We keep it simple here at the homestead… but we like it that way.  A day of relaxing and cooking some good food and just hanging out!  Of course, we have to make from scratch mashed potatoes!!!  

And honey sweet carrots and cranberry fruit jello!   Not Thanksgiving with these favorites!

Our bird, brined… of course!   He got a little hot on the top, we had drizzled a little honey with a garlic and butter baste and the oven must have been just a little hot and the honey burnt a bit on the top where the lid was for most of the cooking.  It’s okay, the rest of him was absolutely perfect!!!

Ratchet thought maybe he could join in!  Sure, the more the merrier!  

Oh yes, there is nothing better than a traditional Thanksgiving spread!  And of course, the food coma nap afterwards!!!

But first…   we had to have a little slice of Jessy’s homemade apple pie and some French vanilla ice cream!!!  Yah!
