Harvesting Sunflowers

Even in death, sunflowers are pretty cool. We picked about half of the flowers that are done and finished. Our mammoth flowers are still growing, so we’ll have another crop later on in the month. They should be amazing.

We picked these and let them lay out in the sun for a day or two, and then we’ll fill them up in the bird feeders for our friends!

  1. I read a tip the other day that suggested sunflowers could also be used as scouring pads. I wonder if they hold up?
