My Baby is 21!

Well, it happened.  My baby turned into an adult overnight.  She told me so.  Now I am officially the mother of two adult children.   My job is done.  Right?

I can run off to points unknown and start living the rest of my life as a free and easy spirit!

Hahaha….   well, probably not.  Once a mom, always a mom.  Besides, I really like them and I’m not sure where I would go, other than here, which I love to pieces!

I guess I’ll just have to deal with it and pretend that it didn’t happen!

We had a wonderful day, just what she wanted.   We went to Toledo for a few hours, had lunch at a coney dog place, did a little shopping and came back home.  At home we had a lovely light dinner of a yummy sandwich and fresh sweet corn from somewhere in the southern USA…  my guess is Florida or California…  either way, it was absolutely wonderful!  Wish we had bought more ears, it was like late summer in a single bite!

Afterwards, we had a little cake and ice cream!   It was very good, as well.  DSC_0637 DSC_0640 DSC_0643 DSC_0645 DSC_0648

Even Lilly Kitty was in on the act.  She was very interested in the wrapping paper left overs!  What a silly little kitty.   Hard to believe that Lilly just turned two years old as well.   She is a very small and lanky cat.   Luna and Dixie are huge compared to little delicate Lilly.

Well, Maggie had a great day, just how she likes it.  Simple, family, good food and a little fuss, but not too much.  And lights out when the cake burns!   She loves that.   We sang, badly, and there were smiles all around.  She likes our presents we gave her…  mostly things to support her new fun hobby of book binding and paper marbling!   Yes, we’re a little weird in our hobbies!   We like it that way.
