Fulton County Bluegrass Days

This was a fun weekend… we had three gigs in one weekend. We felt like rock stars. We had a good time.

This was at the Shallersville 150 year celebration. Our buddy Jimmy Skinner was in charge of entertainment and he asked us to come. It was very exciting… a road trip. Shallersville is almost 3 hours away. I do believe this was the farthest we ever went with Fulton County Bluegrass. I remember sitting and eating these great big Texas hamburgers, that some local lady made and they were quite good and a big burger.

There wasn’t a whole lot of people there but we had a good time and played our little hearts out. I always smile when I see this picture, we sure look like we knew what we were doing, even if well, we were a little green around the ears.

The sound people gave us a recording of the show and on the long drive home we listened to it and that was neat.

I love the band we’re in now… Jeff and I left Fulton County because of some musical direction issues and such… all water under the dam now… and we formed Deepwater and we’re very happy, no doubt. But there are days that I miss that first music adventure and the time to learn all about playing on stage and band dynamics and all that. I do miss it… somedays.

They were some fun times. And made some great friends. Good memories.
