My Bucket List…

DSC_0451

While we were shooting pictures at the salvage yard for their website, Jessy and I were standing around, waiting for them to bring a beautiful old convertible out of a storage barn.

I noticed that we were standing next to two of my bucket list dreams!!!   Driving a semi and driving a front end loader!  (Or well any big yellow construction thing!)  So Jessy says, let me take your picture by them!   So we did.

Not everyone wants their portrait taking with a huge yellow construction machine, but I thought it was pretty fun!

I can foresee only one little obstacle in my way!  haha…  climbing up there!

Jerry said he could help me out with these bucket list things!  Can’t wait!  Good thing I can drive a stick!  One of these days I’ll make sure to take him up on the offer!

DSC_0467I always thought I would be a good truck driver.   I’m a very good driver, careful and all that stuff.  And I love driving.   But I think my knee would give me troubles.  It’s a little wonky and well, hours and hours of driving does make it pretty weird.  Still, I sure would like to be able to try and drive one and also to just ride in one!  I love trucks and these big guys are the top of the game!

So I got to thinking….  what IS on my bucket list?   So many things have come true or happened, so it’s really not that long.   There are some things that I imagine might not happen and I’m fine with that.   Like…  Visit Scotland and Ireland for like a month!    And go on an Alaskan cruise….   They might happen, but I dunno…   Not anytime soon I imagine.

But here are a few that I’m working on and get closer all the time!!!   What’s the top things on your list???

1.)  Own a horse.  A Haflinger gelding, one speed sweetheart that can grow old with me.  :-)  (And Cody and Shadow!)

2.)  Learn to drive a cart and ponies!!!

3.)  Have the beautiful garden and orchard of my dreams…  all cute and finished and lush and whimsical!

4.)  Get a spinning wheel and learn to get good at spinning all our own fibers!

5.)  See WIndhaven continue to evolve into the perfect long time family farm like it was for the first family!  (80+ years in one family!)

6.)  Record a professional CD of our songs that we wrote…

7.)  Get a pottery wheel and a kiln and make stuff!

8.)  Drive a semi and a construction machine

9.)  Get a sweet Ford Taurus wagon that RUNS!  :-)   (Blue is a Mercury Sable…  love her, but I had a dream Ford Taurus wagon named Gunnar and he was awesome and such a heartache as well…  transmission issues!)

10.)  Keep loosing weight and get health in good shape!!!

11.)  Visit Scotland and Ireland for a month in the spring!

12.)  Go on an Alaskan Cruise…

OH MY GOSH….  Miss Julia reminded me of a HUGE thing…  My Yurt!!!!   Okay, make sure I add that I want to build a yurt and live in it!!!  That’s number #13, #14 and #15!   it’s that important!!!

Hmmm….. that’s really about it!   Can’t think of anything else at the moment.   Not too bad!  Only a dozen things and several are already in the works!  Pretty keen!!!
